Who were the original members of Martha and the Vandellas?
The original members of the group when they recorded at Motown Records were Martha Reeves, Rosalind Ashford, and Annette Sterling. Gloria Williams was a member before the group recorded for Motown.

After the hit record, "In My Lonely Room," Annette left the group and was replaced by a former member of the Velvelettes, Betty Kelley.

What was the group's highest charted hit record?
"Dancing In the Street" in 1964, record number Gordy 7033. Gordy is a subsidiary record label of Motown Records.
Rosalind Ashford, Betty Kelley, and Martha Reeves
After several hits, Betty left the group in 1968 and Martha's sister, Lois Reeves, joined the group. The group's name changed to Martha Reeves and the Vandellas.
When Rosalind left the group in 1969, Sandra Tilley, a former member of the Velvelettes and the Orlons, joined the group.

When the group disbanded Martha Reeves became a solo artist and has recorded for MCA, Arista, Fantasy and Motorcity Records. Since then Martha has toured with several Vandellas, including the original's Annette and Rosalind.
